All about glass > Break-in resistant glass
Our Break-in resistant Plastofloat is tested and rated according to European standard EN 356 specifications by the CNPP in its own laboratory , from 6(P6B) to 8(P8B).If three samples of a special composition of Plastofloat can receive at least 31 impacts total (including at least 12 blows with a sledgehammer), and hatchet blows and if these blows do not make a hole of at least 40 cm on a side, the laminated glass is assigned a resistance level defined by the number of blows:
Break-in resistance class | Number of impacts |
6 = P6B | 30 à 50 |
7 = P7B | 51 à 70 |
8 = P8B | at least 71 |
